Buddhist Art
From a careful selection of the numerous and remarkable pieces from Thailand, Burma, China and Japan, was born the permanent exhibition entitled “The Buddhist Art of East Asia”, considered one of the most beautiful Italian collections in the Indochinese area.
The collection
In 2010, twenty years after the foundation of the Museum , the right space and prominence has finally been given to the collection of Buddhist art owned by the Matthaes family, acquired in the early 1970s by the founder during his countless travels to the East. From a careful selection of the numerous and notable pieces from Thailand, Burma, China and Japan, the permanent exhibition entitled “The Buddhist Art of East Asia” was born, considered a among the most beautiful Italian collections of the Indochinese area .

The lab
Authentic Art, the Museum’s laboratory, has been working for over twenty years to perfect existing scientific methods and to develop new methods for ascertaining authenticity in art and antiques.
